This session aims to provide participants with a foundational understanding of why LGBTIQA+ inclusion in workplaces and organisations is important as well as providing a level of comfort around terminology and what not to say or ask. This session also explores some of the challenges often faced by LGBTIQA+ communities in work or group-based environments and how that culture influences the lived experience of people within these communities.

Extending on the Awareness workshop above, this session explores the importance and key actions of LGBTIQA+ allies in the workplace, and how individuals can help create change through their words and actions.

This session explores workplace grievances and how these can appear for LGBTIQA+ communities. Participants will explore case studies to build confidence in their role as a grievance support officer. This session can also be used as an Ally upskill session.
Ideally, participants of this workshop have the base understanding gained from the LGBTIQA+ Awareness & Allyship workshop/s. If not, this can be built into the workshop.

This can be aligned to existing strategies, action plans and frameworks, and external benchmarking or accreditation tools.
